Here are top 5 DPS that are looking solid for Mythic Raiding! We are not talking about classes or specs which everybody is playing. Not about numbers too because everybody might have started with a safe class (warrior, demon hunter etc.). These specs are the ones which suddenly got us talking, everyone’s talking about him and leveling classes. As the meta gets constructed, we find out which specs and classes are looking solid particularly for raiding.
Balance Druid, or Boomkin, are looking solid in terms of people picking them up and people playing them. It has been a very strong spec looking forward to in Alpha and Beta. People got curious on how good they are going to be but after watching Boomkins drop into Knight Fae covenant, going around with new moons as well as star surges in convoke spirits. Everyone saw Boomkins are looking really good.
UNHOLY DEATH KNIGHT
In raids, usually the RANGED dominates the scene. However, melee does have a place in this expansion. Everyone has a couple of Unholy Death Knight if they are doing any kind of competitive rating. Unholy Death Knight is a solid melee with extremely strong pets. Damage got nerfed a couple of times like boomkins but even though with the nerfs, it is not enough to hold them down. The major issue with this melee is mobility. They lose a lot of value when a fight involves a lot of movement. They are so strong, priests are lining up in droves to pop a PI (power infusion) in those bad boys. Everyone said this is going to be a death knight themed expansion and looks like Unholy has taken over.
Affliction Warlock has found a bit more of a niche. They still can do great damage to bosses but now they have a little bit more control over the dots and play with it. They can do a lot more cleave play style, they can do a little bit more control and focus on enemies. And if there’s mobility, these guys can pop their dots on the move. So far they are one of the most solid DPS. Applying curses to debuff enemies is something Blizzard thought of so we can do more outside of just damage.
We already knew Hunters are going to be of massive help inside of raids. Hunters, weather Beast Mastery or Marksmanship, usually do mechanics fairly well. They generally have good mobility. They have immunity, traps, CC which can be used on demand. Hunters don’t have cast issues. They get interrupted, no pushback on their abilities, they can just fire away at the enemy. With Marksman changes, these are enough to make the Marksman shine so well primarily for the raiding tier.
Another melee that is looking like an up-and-comer. Monks have good performance in terms of the raw damage they can put out, surprisingly they can actually hold their own. Which sometimes comes down to- can the class put out numbers or can they not. And sometimes not every class can be at the top of the meters and Monks right now are doing well. When it comes to tanks, Demon Hunters are looking solid and there could be so much magic damage in a raid that being able to self heal or prevent that magic damage as idh just makes more sense thus you will need a Monk for that. Monk buff combined with the fact that Monks can do damage and the massive toolkit, they are great in single target, AOE, cleave. There is so much niche in terms of the variety of damage output they can put in.
